The golf tournament was early Monday morning ....their time spent at the course Sat. payed off. Brylee won 3rd place in the girls 11 year olds, and Landon won 2nd in the boys 14 year olds! They were so excited to get a trophy!!

This summer I had Landon and Brylee join the Idaho Falls Junior Golf League. Brylee moaned and groaned and told me she hated golf! Even though she has never played...Landon played a little last year when he stayed at one of his Tremonton's friends house for a week. He was much more excited than Brylee. I also signed them up for a 1 week lesson which was just what they needed. They learned how to use the different types of clubs, worked on their swings, putting and chipping. Val and I are just not good enough to teach them the way they should be taught. Anyway, Friday after their lessons, Val and I took them out to play 9 holes, in preparation for a tournament they would be in on Monday. Val golfed with them and I drove the cart. I am still recovering from my knee surgery. I didn't mind at all!! We were amazed at what a few lessons did for them. They are both golf ADDICTS! The course that is just a few miles from our house has a 5 hole junior course that they can use whenever they want and don't need to pay because they are Junior Members. Landon spent the next day, Sat. at the golf course from 10:30am-9:30pm! He is crazy!! Bry spent about 4 hours at the course that day. She no longer hates golfing!

Memorial Day Weekend, 2008, Island Park

Josh and Teegan having a relaxing and unusual moment!
Brylee LOVES Teegan and Camdyn! She is their best babysitter ever!
Val and I enjoying one of our favorite activities. Reading the "Leader Times". Tremonton's newspaper. Val's mom saves them up and gives them to us when she visits. It is a real treat!:)

Landon and Teegan....rare moment for Landon to hold him:) Of course we had to get a picture. We might not see this again for along time. We were all snapping our cameras!
Going for a walk in not the best weather! It was cold and rainy the whole weekend!
Nick and Lexie having the time of their lives!!
I love my "Hirschi Kids"
Brittany and Brianne having a "cooking moment".
Their firsts for cutting a watermelon and onion!!! How old are you guys?

Brianne's 22nd B-Day/Mother's Day

May 11th was Mother's Day, but was also Brianne's birthday. Brianne was born on Mother's Day 22 years ago! What a great Mother's Day present I got in 1986. Her and a "Toaster"! Thanks for both honey:) Val will never be able to live down the fact that after I delivered her, he brought the gift he had bought me to the hospital. I opened it and yes, it was a toaster!! Trust me, it may have taken a few years, but he has gotten a "little" better. (With the help of his grown daughters)! Brianne is such a fun loving person. I remember after delivering her, when the nurse handed her to me, the very first thing I noticed about her were her lips. They were very pink, and heart shaped. Still to this day I think she has the prettiest lips. I love you Brianne!!

April Events

I don't know quite how to put this other than, "April was the CRAZIEST month ever in the Hirschi family." Where do I begin. Okay, at the beginning. On Friday, March 28th I flew to Los Angeles for a work conference. It was for the Association of Operating Room Nurses. I was so excited to go. It went from the 29th of March, thru April 3rd. One full week of OR nurse educational offerings. What could be better? Val would be meeting me on the evening of the 3rd. On the 4th, we were to board the Monarch Of The Seas Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship to celebrate Val's 50th birthday. It was a much needed "Get Away" for me. Work and pleasure. My only worry was Brittany. Her due date was April 22nd. I told her she ABSOLUTELY could not have that baby until I got home. Anytime after the 7th of April would be fine. She agreed, or so she said. On Tuesday, April 1st at 5:30PM, I walked into my hotel room and the phone was ringing. I guess I had let my cell phone die. It was Val, informing me he had something to tell me and that it was no "April Fools" joke. I was instantly panicked. I thought something had happened to Landon or Brylee. Oh no.....it was about Brittany. She was in labor and would probably be delivering within the hour.......What the *$!#@. It was pretty much devastating to me at that moment! Of course I started crying........I heard afterward that Val had every girl in our household crying and that I could never leave him again. I was crying because I wanted to be there and felt like I had totally let Britt down, Brianne was crying because she was diagnosed with strep throat earlier that day and had been planning on being in the delivery room (the mean nurse wouldn't let her in), Lexie was crying because she was stuck in Provo, Brylee was crying because her birthday was the Monday we were coming home and Brittany was going to take care of her on her birthday and now she wouldn't be able to, Brittany (and I) cried after she had her baby because we were both so happy. What a fun time for Val. Thank goodness for Landon. He stayed strong for Val! So that's how our month started! On the 7th, both Val and Brylee celebrated their birthday's. We got home late that night and were able to celebrate Brylee's birthday. On April 11th Josh graduated from BYUI with a bachelors degree in Biology. On Saturday the 12th I let Brylee have a friend birthday party. I broke down and let her invite 2 boys. It ended up being a lot of fun. The next Saturday, the 19th, we celebrated Lexie and Teegan's birthday. Lexie is no longer a teenager. THANK GOODNESS....:) And Teegan is2!! Just a few more days until May and I am counting down!

On Wed. Feb. 27th Barnes and Noble had a book signing with a childrens author. Brandon Mull. Brylee was excited to go, so being the "good" mom that I am, I agreed to take her. The signing started at 6:30 pm, which is exactly when we got there. I was horrified when I saw the line that wound through all the isles. I have never been to a book signing before, and thought we might be there 30 min. or less. We pulled into our garage that night at 10:00 pm!!! I could barely walk into the house! Stupid me, I had on high heel boots! The things we go through for our children! Brylee was very happy to have 2 books with the author's signature.

Last Saturday (Feb. 22), Landon entered a guitar hero tournament through a local radio station. He entered the expert category. He is amazing! He did not win, but it was a lot of fun. His friends came to support him. We love to watch him play, and don't understand how he is able to move his fingers so fast!

Josh had his second back surgery (Discectomy) the first part of February. Hopefully it will do the trick and he will be able to start Dental school in July without any problems! The surgery was during Teegan's naptime so we layed him in one of the pediatric cribs. He slept during his dad's entire surgery! He looked like he was anesthetized!! Brianne and Imari were there for support. Really, Brianne was working! Josh was funny in the recovery room. He kept telling me how much he loves me! It was hilarious. He was fun under the influence of drugs. He got especially excited when he saw Imari waiting in his room.
